Have you heard of the Couple Empowerment Program (CEP)?
How do you know that you have married the right person? How can a man and a woman fulfill their lifetime commitment to love and be faithful to each other in the modern world? What can make a marriage work? For many people, marriage remains a mystery, a “touch and go”.
Renowned marriage psychologist John Gottman says that it is surprisingly simple to make a marriage work. He believes that happily married couples can be ordinary folks who have “hit upon a dynamic that keeps their negative thoughts and feelings about each other from overwhelming their positive ones”. We at CEP believe that a successful marriage involves the interplay of human and spiritual dimensions of a couple’s relationship.
CEP is a formation program (with psycho-spiritual aspects) designed for married couples struggling with issues such as work life balance, intimacy, sexual intimacy, in laws and issues arising from cultural differences. At CEP, couples will learn to discover the fullness and beauty of the sacrament of marriage even in the most trying times of married life. Couples will also learn how to create an environment where their children can grow up as emotionally intelligent and well balanced individuals who can achieve their highest potentials.
CEP will be conducted over a period of eight (8) weeks at the Church of St Vincent de Paul starting 30 August 2009. Dinner will be provided. There will be child minding facilities as well as children’s activities throughout the program. Do sign up and make yourself part of an enriching family experience.
